Dr. Truong:
I have always taken pride in the years of being physically fit, yet was also told by everyone how "tired" I looked.  Because of this, for 15 years there has been a standard joke at my house on my birthday, "all I want for a gift is new eyes this year."  Poor genetics and allergies had taken their tolls on my eyelids and me and my vision was being impaired as well.  Each year expenses of higher priorities would prevail and my dream of new eyes was put on the wayside.  Last year after a parent's death, I finally had enough money to "buy new eyes".  Since having eyelid surgery (which was incredibly pain free and easy), I now get up every single day and thank Dr. Truong for this gift.

When I look in the mirror or at pictures of myself, I feel pride at the eyes that look back at me.  In fact, I stare in wonder!  Then another day someone looked at me and said two wonderful things: "you look 10 years younger" and better still along with the compliments of many, "I would never have known you had this surgery".  My vision has completely changed and I see things above my head now, I didn't even notice before.  Additionally, insurance covered a good portion of the cost which surprised me.  Having this done has probably been one of the best things I have ever done for myself and has given me an increase in self-esteem I never would have imagined.
